Nature, animals, tranquility, peace, sea.
Really liked the nature aspect especially the deer and the highland cow, was definitely funny watching their antics together. The friendly weka were interesting characters! Plenty of room and beds which allowed comfort to have a bed for ourselves. We’ll equipped kitchen, had everything we needed. Warm, friendly host who told us about the animals. Will definitely stay again, highly recommend this motel.

Exceptional.
We absolutely loved staying at Karamea River Motel. Set in a rural location we were entertained by the 2 year old Highlander cow and her paddock mate 22 year old Bambie plus we had great views of the Western Ranges. Our hostess Alison went out of her way to make us welcome and gave us all the information including maps of local activities.
